FRS radios - think I got mine for $60 a pair with recharging station.. I would add hat to the list of things to have if going topless, and it probably would not be bad for the lead driver to give out his/her cell number so that radio-less people could call and say they are splitting off to go home etc. Though I would not post this online in the thread, give it to people who are there in person. Those of us that know each other well should probably swap #s

Also I would like to add, if a car in the group experiences tech failure or blow out, passenger needs to puke etc. The last car needs to radio the first car and tell them to hold up ahead, then the last car should go back and see what is going on - radio to the lead car. It would suck to have a mechanical or even possibly a medical issue way out in the middle of nowhere and your group zips off leaving you stranded..... Anybody in the group who is restless or does not feel like helping could take off on their own !

I think a 2 hour twisty drive should have a mid point scenic stop with bathrooms ! And actually I think the out to a destination, lunch then back kinds of drives are really good every once in a while. Also a picnic- bring your own lunch to a park or beach destination could be good, we did this on last years "drive to nowhere" and it worked out great.

and yes +1 FILL YOUR TANK UP PRE DRIVE SO THAT UPWARDS OF 20 -30 PEOPLE DON'T HAVE TO SIT AROUND WAITING JUST FOR YOU!!! sorry a pet peeve, very very very rude......
