There's corruption and terrorism in almost every 3rd world country, a hatred bordering on fanaticism by their rulers towards the US, and a desire of a good portion of their citizens to move here. Only education can bring change. Attacked by the Taliban, we had a right to go in to Afganistan. And, the rest of the world was with us. We have neither the resourses or the right to go into every single country that hates us. No matter what we do we will be attacked again, someone will set off a nuclear bomb or dirty bomb somewhere. THere will be some minor wars and some major wars down the line. No country is forever, like Greece, like Rome corruption and deteriorating infrastructure from within, assaults from the outside, our political system will end. The oil will run out in the Arab states in the next 30-80 years, that will be the end of any hold they have over anyone and any capability to start a world war. In the Grand scheme of things its not that long to wait. The only regret I have is that I won't be around to see it.

It's amazing that with all that oil wealth, countries like Saudi Arabia and Venezuela (and probably even Russia) are doing nothing to create an economy that will outlive their oil reserves. I can't wait either...
