Lotus did not make many cars for 2008, let alone the SC Elise however; those who've purchased the vehicle and are on LT will tell you it's a great car. Personally, I absolutely love this car and doubt you'll be dissapointed (sp?).
If Lotus is the way you want to go, I recommend the SC Elise.
