On a track I suppose, but then again the Evora with the larger cockpit/back seat (sure it won't fit adults) makes it more "practical" than a Tesla.
And no gas bill? Wait'll you see your electric bill

The problem with you figure is "5 years of daily driving/fill ups @ $4.50 a gallon" you left out the distance. 6 miles a day is a lot different than the 75 a day I do. Also "(remember, the Tesla isn't solar charged/power)." How could you possibly know that ? Have you been to my house ? You are aware that some people have solar panels right ? You are aware that electrical generation will probably be moving towards nuclear, wind, solar in the future.
The last time I did a comparison of traditional vehicle vs hybrid it was a Civic.
It was when gas was under $2. Figuring in the sticker price difference and my annual mileage at that gas price I would not hit the break even point for18 years, and the standard Civic was cleaner burning. But now gas is $4.50 and the Tesla is ZERO gas and ZERO emmison. I doubt it would take 18 years to hit the break even point. IIRC Tesla was claiming based on electrical bills that it gets in $ terms 135 MPG.
At any rate the Tesla and Evora would be drastically different experiences.
I've always been a Lotus fan. I've driven and owned Lotus. The Evora is certainly not your grandfathers Lotus. Big mistake.
