Perhaps I'm naive, but I thought that the 'alleged' demon of the internal-combustion engine was carbon
dioxide. CO2 is a product of the catalytic converter, of which environmentalists were proponents; the aim was to do away with CO emissions. Irony is so ironic. Or is it?
