We've done this to ourselves people. Illegals do all the jobs your kids are too lazy to do. Is your kid going to pick strawberries in the hot sun for ten hours a day, nope. If the job paid MORE, would he do it? Wash dishes MAYBE. But then we'd be paying more for strawberries or fast food and nobody wants that, right?

Other side of the coin.
If you were a poor Mexican would you get some crap job there, or run to the land of opportunity?

It all comes down to greed. This country has been exploiting cheap labor since children were working in factories and since it was free in the form of slavery. The fact is that not much has changed, it's just that the corporate fat cats have found new ways to not employ Americans or pay a fair wadge.

Their largest export is,.... anyone, anyone. Stickers that read: "made in China." From toys to iphones to American Flag pins, everything is made in China, why? Because whitey don't want to pay more for an iphone made by Americans. We are selling ourselves out and it reached the epitome of sell-out recently when a manufacturing job farmed out to China was then produced by that Chinese company HERE in America!! What? Turns out it was cheaper because the power here is more reliable and then they don't have to ship it. Wow, China a middle man. Made here, but they still get the money. Chinese firms bargain hunting in U.S. - Los Angeles Times If you think that's ironic, next time you go to buy some 4th of July hats and decorations, look at where they are made and think twice.

I'm not FOR illegal immigration. I grew up in San Diego where illegals stole from us and taught each other how to drive on our street. (Flower growing area, an industry that is also gone.) But I do understand why illegals would come here and why we allow it. We are the USA, if we wanted to shut our borders down, we would. Lawmakers know that this country needs people to do the jobs we won't do.

Greed is the bottom line. CEO's used to only make a few hundred times the more pay than the lowest paid worker, now they make thousands of times more than the lowest paid worker. Instead of a company laying off several workers, perhaps the CEO should hold off on the Lambo and settle for a Lotus.

Speaking of Lotus, can we get back to talking about that?
