#2) also, I am in AZ., lots of immigrantion issues here from the south.
people dont come here for freebies as you think, they come here for opportunities to make a better life for them and their families, just as my grandparents did. the people from south of the border generally work much harder, dont expect a cigarette break every 30 minutes, and are not looking for handouts, they are looking for opportunities to WORK.
there are not the same opportunities in many countries like there are here in the US. thats why people want to be here.

what i see the biggest issue is, as far as immigrating from mex. anyway, is that the only way you can do so legally is to get married during you short 6 month visitors visa stay..................
IMO they need to make a guest worker program and legally allow people to live here, work, pay taxes. break they law(not traffic laws, but crimes with victims), and adios muchachos por vida.
here in AZ they are enforcing/posturing to enforce the laws with employer sanctions.......... problem is, they will remove the workforce from these jobs. many americans (over 18 yrs old)dont want many of these jobs that are being taken because welfare pays more than working many of these crappy jobs. now the economy will suffer. when it hits the wallet, the laws will change. stop allowing welfare for long term, people will get hingry and work. why are so many poor people in THIS country fat, and other countries they (the poor)are skin and bones?

its a no win for anyone, but IMO, they need to make the legal residency easier for those who want to work and contribute to society, and have the opportunities that we(US citizens) take for granted here.

Exactly! I am sure that most illegal aliens would love to come here legally, but our govt. makes it near impossible for them to do so. My wife is from Japan and she got her green card through her job. She was working for Harvard and had Harvard lawyers on the case and it still took nearly 7 years, thousands of dollars and was a very tough process as she had to prove that she had a skill that was not common to Americans. Through the whole process her job had to sponsor her visa, she could not change jobs if she had a better offer, or move out of State.
If she was someone working a blue collar job it would have been impossible. I have read that it would take 15 years for someone from Mexico to come here legally if they could even come up with the money to start the process and prove they have a unique skill

Apparently, you live in a place where the censorship is common practice.

I believe he was referring to the word "liberal", you know the very nice and positive word that folks from the right managed to turn into an insult
