I agree, the battery life is the biggest downside to the 3G upgrade. I found that turning off the "ask me to join new wifi networks" option helped life noticeably. I also turn off the auto brightness adjustment. Still, it isn't as good as the old one, and I'd like more life in a future version.

I have 5 apps installed, I do have the 8 gig one though and have about 5 gigs of music... I might try to lighten up the music and see if it works any better... makes me kick myself that i didnt get the 16 gig one.

I also admit that I play the free hangman app too, I know its stupid but its a good waste of time.
I guess I'm not all that disappointed with the new phone... Of course I always wish it would send picture messages and record video! maybe they could come out with a new release someone in a firmware upgrade, but who knows.
