A while back I designed my own radar detector bracket for my Elise.
Initially I wasn’t planning to sell them, but after posting some pictures of the bracket, people on the board started showing interest.
Here are two threads on how this started:
Do I have the Elise-disease? - LotusTalk - The Lotus Cars Community
New V1 mount from Mr.C
That made me decide that I’m going to sell the ones I still had sitting in my garage.
I sold the ones I had left, and now I’m officially out of them.
Since then I had a few more inquiries, but I had to tell you guys that there are no brackets left for sale…
Now I thought I might want to make another batch since I will be leaving the country at the end of the year, and this will be the last chance to get one.
I figured that if I get at least five people together I could justify to make them.
Here is what you would get:
And this is what it looks like installed:
And with the radar detector on it:
You’ll have to get some self adhesive Velcro (I used industrial strength) and stick it to the bracket as well as to the bottom of the radar detector.
It holds up great, and I’ve never had any issues with the Velcro or the bracket itself coming loose, even though I take my detector off at least once a day when I daily drive the car (I usually leave the top off when I park it at work, but take the radar detector off and throw it into the trunk).
Installation of the bracket is very simple, and I’ll provide detailed instructions.
In addition, here are is a link to a site that shows how to hard wire your radar detector:

The bracket works with most of the harness bars as far as I know, but take a look at the picture and judge by yourself in case you have concerns.
The bracket including mounting hardware will be $50 shipped to the continental US.
Paypal works for me.
Please post here and let me know if you’re interested, and once I get enough people together I will send you the details for the paypal payment.
When I have at least five people together I will order the raw parts and start finishing them.
After placing the order for the parts I will also be able to give you an idea of how long it’s going to take to get them ready to ship (shouldn’t be too long…)
