You got some great feedback so I won't go over it again. Three points:
1. I've had both, the Garmin is much better imo.
2. Size is the most important issue for me so I do not have the wide screen Garmin. (I have a Nuvi 370). I do not know why I care what is to the right and left of where I am driving (I track up).
3. I've had better luck with the European Maps in the 370 than in my TomTom.
4. I subscribe and download the European traffic cameras for the countries I'm in (every month). These are basically POI so I'm a bit confused about the comments that you cannot do that. As a side note, having those cameras in my Garmin has saved me hundreds of dollars. Before I did that I got 2-3 tickets per trip.
