Oh, BTW, your mother isn't very knowledgeable about cars. The LAST thing that a college student needs is a brand new car to worry about. You older car breaks down? No biggie, someone will always be around to give you a ride. A college campus is just about the most 'walk friendly' and 'anti-car' environment there is. A new car on a campus is a silly, silly thing.
