My only experience with something like this is a toll road where I need to insert a credit card to lift the gate. Even when I am as close to the machine as possible, I still have to put the car in neutral, unbuckle my seat beat, and stretch out the window in order to reach it
Mind you, I'm 6' tall with relatively long arms, I can only imagine it being more difficult for others
