We are done, total time 7.5 hours. All I need is the ECU back from PES.

I know they got it today, if they were able to get it done I should have it back on Thursday or Friday. It is going to be hell watching the car sit there with no ECU. I guess tomorrow night would be a good time to wax it.
Honestly I think the next one we could do in under 6 hours as we spent much of the 7.5 hours looking at the pictures and following the directions step by step and were not able to fully double team the job.
While we did it with the clam on, I would suggest putting the car on 4 jack stands, taking the right rear wheel off as well as the wheel liner and the belly pan and rear diffuser. All of it will come off in less than 20 minutes (if you are really slow) and it makes the job a lot easier. We did not start off by doing any of this and it probably wasted over an hour when we finally decided to take it off. Also on the Exige, in the engine compartment there are two panels that snap right off that also help accessibility (found them at the very end where trying to put the air box back together).
We were able to get to the belt tensioner from the top tonight and found that it does not take that much pressure, you just have to apply constant pressure to allow the pressure cylinder to compress. We used a 3/8 ratchet with a long extension with a socket attached, worked just fine.
Anyways it is late and I need to go to bed, not that I will be able to sleep.
I would like to thank Fred again for the group buy, had he not done this it would have been next spring before I would have done this mod. I owe you.
Rick
