Have you considered that you may have become 'too dependent' on your V1? Personally, I think being more aware and picking and choosing your moments to speed will save you far more than any detector. It is merely another tool to help you, not your sole means of protection.

I haven't had a radar detector in over 20 years......and I haven't been stopped in over 20 years...and if you think I drive like a little old lady....I'll hit 120-130mph on the way to work sometimes.
