Man, you have to be smart and alert. As Tracy said use the V1 as a tool to augment your protection, but it is not total protection. I dentify where cops can hide and put a car between you and them. Always scan ahead for them as well as brakelights on cars ahead. Avoid having cars close behind you because if the V1 goes off full bore you need to stomp on the brakes HARD. Forget worrying about if the cop sees your nose dip down - you don't want his radar to get a lock on you and I don't think (not sure) they can do that with a vehicle drastically changing speeds. I've several instances like this and the cop just sits there when he could have gotten a juicy ticket. I don't know about laser, though.
Tracy, I'm calling you out young lady! (Remember I watch Gunsmoke). When you're doing 120 is it out on the country roads I peruse or the safe sanctuary of some stretches of Chicago expressway that have no place for a cop to hide? Inquiring minds need to know.
Anyway, my V1 has saved me countless times. It's the times when I run into the instant on radar that gets me nervous - having to slam the brakes on and all. As for laser - I think we're screwed if the cop has a good aim. Good reason for no front license plate - I think that helps.
