I've never used a radar detector before. It's pretty worthless these day with instant-on radar and laser, unless the cop is being really lazy.
On the same note of radar/laser, has anyone noticed an effective range for getting a lock on our cars? I ask because yesterday I was barreling up the right lane yesterday only to come to the top of the hill to see a trooper with a radar/laser gun pointed right at me. I pulled into the center lane and he didn't even bat an eye. I was doing at least 90 in a 75 and I was certainly the fastest person on that stretch of road. So yeah, are we that much harder to get a lock on?
