Thanks for being a good sport about it. I guess it's not really my cup of tea. I mean, it's relatively easy to strip everything out, place in a powerful engine and achieve performance. I'm more a fan of the Lotus way of doing things (save for the 211) of retaining *some* aspect/resemblance of a motorcar and not a buggy/go-kart.

It is a Lotus and it is the Lotus way of doing things. The car was originally designed by the founder of Lotus.

If you prefer to be cocooned in some cushy car, that is fine, but you are missing out on half the experience. A Seven makes a Lotus Elise feel like a school bus.
Personally, I don't like the styling on this Levante version (which is built/re-engineered by RS Performance, not Caterham) and think it is a bit ridiculous to have that much power in the car when 250-275hp will see off most supercars around a track
