I have an Exige and Hardwired the V1 in myself. I have no issues and the car can sit for at least 3 weeks and still start right up. Just so you know.

With that said, I tapped into a switched wire and the battery does not drain. If your V1 turns off, then the wire you tapped is not the problem.

My guess is a short somewhere. I'd pull the battery and take it to your FLAPS to have them check it.
