S.O. does your 2002 weigh less than your Elise? What a cool car... bet that thing surprises a lot of people with its performance.
Axle problem solved, car is getting tuned this Saturday. Have been looking for street tires for the Speedlines that are on the car and have not had any luck. Via the miracle of the internet, stumbled upon a posting on a Corvette forum and found a cool solution. This is an option that has issues (thin carcass etc.) and is not something that many of you (the smart ones) would be willing to use on the street. That said, there are a lot of Viper and Corvette guys using them on the street and the the guy from Roger Kraus Racing told me that he has sold sets to some LT members. The picture is from the web and as you can see they are hand cut Hoosier r6's. RKR has three patterns or templates that they use and this picture shows "medium" grooving. I ordered them with minimum grooving and will see if there is a picture that can be posted....
Found the pic and forgot to mention that they are DOT tires so technically they are legal from what I have been told from people selling them but do your own research.
