Carefully removing window tint

My new BMW had really ugly window tint on it. Blueish color, bubbly and wrinkly. I had the dealer remove the tint from the four side windows, but they didn't want to do the rear as they said they didn't have the proper equipment to remove the rear without damaging the rear defroster wiring. Does anyone know how to do this or what is required? Can I do this myself with some simple tools or chemicals?
