I had mine 2.5 years, with no front plate in a state where it is required....I drive fast....not reckless, not weaving, etc., just fast. Never got pulled over. (But I never got pulled over in my S2000, Del Sol, CRX, 911 Turbo, 911SC or my current 993TT either.) Just lucky, I guess.
(I have a 33 mile, one way, commute.)
