I am a serious buyer.
and I feel that your car is very much in the range of what I am looking for.
I would like to offer you this:
$500 if you will only deal with me for the next 7 days.
a final offer of 33,500 for the car, if I find that it is what I really want.
the $500 would apply to the purchase price if I buy at my offer of 33,500.
the $500 would be yours if you agree to sell it at 33,500, but I back out of the deal.
basically, I want exclusivity to talk with you for 7 days, and am willing to front $500.
the $500 is yours if you wish to accept my high offer of 33,500. If I back out after 7 days, the $500 is yours, otherwise, it applies to my purchase price offer.

ps. these are freakin sweet cars. I have raced a Porsche for 3 years, and now I want a real supercar. the Elise w/SC appears to be it. It will be taken care of.
