Chrysler is just trying to get an EV for no development cost.
A123 is applying for the battery grant program: they need OE partners. Chrysler is being bought by Fiat and is most likely to fade away as quickly as Cerberus can get out.
This is a wet dream that will never happen (if Lotus is smart enough to recognize it as such).
