It must just be that my strap wrench sucks. The band stretches and the pulley spins. Will get a better one.
Finished the VF2 supercharger install. Only have to finish the Turbophil rear clam tilt before can connect battery and turn on engine. Car all back together except battery, but need to do some trimming on roll bar cover to get tilting clam clearance as per instructions...
I had to use a cutoff grinder to remove 1/2 inch from both the proximal and distal ends of the air intake. Now it fits perfectly without touching the wheel liner and with the MAF housing perfectly horizontal, and have clearance on all sides of the filter, can even exchange it with tubes in place. Also there is some gap inbetween the throttle body and the air intake to allow for engine movement, I think they were abutting eachother with the stock length. (Yes I deburred with file, emory clothed edges, cleaned inside. The metal is soft, went easily). Also had to make a second hole in the air intake support tab (the once closer to the filter) closer to the pipe so that the bolt would go through the rollover support and the two tabs in a straight line. Will add picture later.
