Lotusland: You are correct on the theory of operation. It's a ceramic coating on both the inside and the outside of the piping allowing the gases to stay as hot as possible inside the piping.
tvacc: I offer this coating on the PPE headers. I'm debating not even making it optional anymore as it's proven to be well worth the added cost. It's made by a company called N-coat/HPC (
nCoat, Inc. Innovating the Next Generation of Coating Technologies). They are local and do some of the best coating work I've ever seen.
