There never was a cavitation problem with the K20A oil pumps. One person used 'fear, doubt and uncertainty' to promote their solution to a non existent problem, which unfortunately got magazine coverage and then become part of internet folklore, indistinguishable from fact. Oil pump cavitation results in metal pitting from the bubble implosion - which I've even heard mentioned in association with K20 oil pumps. We've also not seen an oil pressure drop on 10,300 rpm dyno runs.
The only comment I'd have is that many people run oil which is too light for the operating oil temperature. 5-30 is great for a street car or drag engine, but not so good for a race engine.
