Interesting, I have never had the need to go though the step you mentioned.
I simply turn off the alarm and all is functioning normally
.
What happens if you don't do it?

I've been in this predicament twice  , and am getting it down to a drill. I have an extra car battery and use that to turn off the alarm and unlock the doors. |
