Mine hasn't snapped, but it frequently catches when I close it. I've learned to throw it forward when I close, but the main strut still sometimes catches on the small strut.
Also, 111 sent it with self locking nuts. These things suck. You have to apply so much torque just to get the nut fully threaded that I broke two of the bolts. I had much better luck with new bolts and nyloc nuts.
I also don't like all the slop in the unit. The slop is necessary for the unit to function properly, but it makes the whole installation feel and look cheap.
