As for the chassis, it is NOT built by Norsk Hydro, but by Lotus Lightweight Structures facility in Worcester, UK. who also build all the other Lotus chassis including the Evora. Lotus builds the Tesla from scratch (that is, unless my eyes where deceiving me when I followed one down the line while visiting Hethel...they are then shipped to the US where they put in the batteries/leccy motor...)
Oh and except for the rear sub-frame, we do share a chassis
