Read the code with a OBD reader that plugs into OBD port under drivers side dash. Autozone will do for free or spend $80-800 for your own.

The CEL is the "check engine light". It is the red engine picture that lights up on your dash when you put key in ignition (and hopefully goes out after a couple of seconds).
