Considering AD07s cost $918/set, There's plenty of good reasons to go tire shopping. Right now Dunlop is offering the Star Spec Direzza (an extreme performance summer compound and tread design directly analogous to the AD07) for roughly 3/5 the price. Treadwear is rated 10% better
I've ordered mine in 205/50/16 fronts and 245/45/17 rears for only $500/set. I also bought a set of Rota Torque rims (16/7 & 17/8) for only $549 to accommodate the extra width and these will pay for themselves on the next tire change.
The stagger between the front and rears splits the difference between the standard tire size and the LSS tire size. Theoretically I should increase my lateral grip while reducing my understeer. There is a change in rolling circumference between the front and rears of .7% (fronts spinning .7% faster relative to the rears vs stock tires) which shouldn't confuse the ABS. Other have been running this size with no reported problems AFAIK. Many are running 235/45/17 bringing the stagger closer to the LSS tire size.
Having said all this I wish I was rich enough to run the stock Yoko AO48s. They really look the business and have prodigious more grip than the above solution.
