here's a random thought. could it look darker than the Lotus cars because it was shot over an almost black carbon fiber base color? (I believe the T-roadsters have all cf bodywork)

I think you're misunderstanding. Krypton Green is a Lotus color. "B109 Krypton development version 1" was a color created during the development of Krypton Green, hence the name "development version 1." Tesla painted Sig 100 #100 with this one-off and called it "Insane Green." My source is Tesla Operations in Hethel.
