To be able to use the OE Venting and Charcoal canister in the Pro Alloy tank you would have to use the discriminating valves out of the OE tank or other substitute. These separate the fluid from the vapor inside your tank. The 05 tanks have one and the 06 and up have two inside the tank itself. It would be very difficult to incorporate them into the Pro Alloy tank. If you just vent straight into the charcoal canister it will end up filling with fuel (that’s Bad). The Pro Alloy tank is designed to vent into the atmosphere. If you bypass the charcoal canister you may get a MIL code. I know the Charlie X can disable it with a re-flash.
I would recommend including roll over valves on the fill and vent side of the Pro Alloy tank for safety sake.
I agree that it is a great shame to cover up such a good looking part.
