back in 1989 when i raced with AMACCS here in AZ they had a class for these guys.
there were about 6 of them running. they got a track set up that was smaller than firebird (main) using part of the front straight, and the hotpit to comprise the track.

thinking back it looked like good fun, and less dangerous than the big fast bikes, but at the time I was 20 years old, full of testosterone, and thought it was dumb compared to the big bikes i was racing.
funny how things change, because no way would i roadrace a big bike nowadays, but the YSR50, i might throw a leg over and go racing.

I bet if you looked up CCS in california they still have a class for those things to run in.
