i have not seen an exige/elise with a north/south engine placement.other than the z cars hyabusa bike engine elise.witch im not a fan off.i thought that if you did do a north/south engine you would need to modify the firewall.the west car is a very fast machine.i have only driven them in the pits.cant imagine how fast they would be.the vids dont do it justice.pull close to 4 gs in the corners.one of my ideas for the exige/elise would be a full tunnel floor.the only deal breaker for it would be the rear sub frame lower rail.the one that the under try bolts to.if that was not there.you could put some pretty big tunnels on one of these cars.i would build a complete floor from the shear panel all the way back.the center section of the floor would drop down to create the tunnel.start the ramp aft of the fuel tank.the alms gt2 porsh cars had a similar setup.
