Well, I had finally made it to the drag strip a week ago after trying to make it there all summer. My first run was a huge embarrassment. I went out there expecting to surprise a lot of people. I took off from the launch and felt an immediate loss of power right out of the whole. I hooked good but my power immediately fell off and the car just ended up dying on me. No drama, no noise, just DEAD. I had to be towed down the strip and into the pits. Then I had to have the car taken home 70 miles on a flatbed! Talk about a disappointing day.

The good news is it took me a week but we finally figured out the problem. I have a return line on my fuel system as it was upgraded. Well, there was a plug that vibrated out and resulted in an immediate loss of fuel pressure. The fuel pump was working but just not pumping the fuel to the engine.

I should have it together again tomorrow and hopefully I will make it to the drag strip eventually. It is just not easy to get there since it is so far away and they only do test and tune on Wed. and Friday. I will let everyone know when it happens eventually.
