Haha, I was wondering what happened to your thread. The ban probably had something to do with the fact that you were an unknown user to the site, using your first post as a promotion for the event. As per the terms of service:
"Please do not post any messages anywhere on this site that are
primarily for the promotion or advertising of any website, forums, email address, business, MLM,
activity, or other entities that you have an affiliation with (ie. no self-promotion)."
