whew - just finished reading this entire 4 year thread. lots of information but I still have a question - my Exige now serves as my dedicated track. Thursday night I was running in the dark under track lights - two of us were running Exiges and admittedly we were engaged and not focused on what was behind us. Another driver in a full race Porsche marked us and was working to overtake us in the straightaway, he missjudged our speed but committed to overtake us on the inside in the third turn after the straightaway. The first thing I saw was a flash of orange headlight on my left as he overtook me on the inside - less 2 feet from my driver's door when we turned parallel. I stayed online and we avoided contact. I am not sure I would have seen him with better mirrors and maybe I am alive because I didnt see him but its was a big wake up for me.
Do the Multivex mirrors create distortion in depth of field? Has anyone had much experience on the track? at night?
I am debating whether it would be safer with a wider field of vision & the distortion that comes with that or sticking with the stock optics in the Lotus OEM mirrors...
