I was under the car for hours before the last track day (new brakes and rotors, replaced the gear oil, checked fastener torques, etc)... and I'm pretty sure that I looked over the exhaust... but now that I know specifically what to look for, I'll definitely take a more careful look at that weld in the future. Ryan (R3 Motorsports) was generous enough to lend me a spare cat for the event.
And it seems that Lotus is standing up and I will get a new cat under warranty.
I think I spent more time wrenching than driving, but at least I made the TT, and drove the car home!
