It seems like: yes you can but you need a cage, a extinguisher system with the switch outside the car, the battery kill switch on the outside, a cage, racing seats? w belts, a fuel cell? and who the heck knows what else, it sure would be nice if they had a easy way to get into it I think they'd have a lot more interest. Ahh... you are talking about SCCA road racing, not solo. You don't need any of that in solo.
Road racing does have safety requirements way past solo and they make sense for road racing. It is dangerous and stuff happens.
