The Lotus USA web site lists the Bordeaux Red as "Bordeaux Red Pearl", though the UK site just lists it as Bordeaux Red.
I think the early brochures referred to the green as Lotus Racing Green to distinguish it from British Racing Green which is quite a different color. People still refer to it as British Racing Green anyway
, thus the commonly seen "BRG". Which all goes to prove, you can't change how people refer to some of these colors.
