The Elise just got a glowing review from GRM, the ultimate sportscar magazine (IMHO). Nothing is up on their website yet, and I don't think they post all of their articles in full.
A few quotes:

Suffice to say that if Toyota had sent the original MR2 into space and it had accidentally flown through a magnetic field giving it powers beyond that of mere mortals, the Elise is what would have come back in that space capsule."
"The Elise simply handles and drives like few cars in the history of civilization. This is a car you feel so dialed into that you have to check that your nerve endings haven't grown through your skin into the seat."
There are others that I like even more, but they're part of long sequences that I don't feel like re-typing right now (I just got home from a 14 hour day of autocross school, including about 4 hours of travel to and from).
Hopefully someone with a scanner can post it or GRM will have it up at their site soon. I highly recommend the magazine, apart from the great review. It's mostly a wrencher's magazine, but they're honest and are actually interested in real performance over stats.
