Transmission Oil change

Well, this has been a really bad day.
I decided to change my gear lube today. Before pulling what I thought was the fill plug, I tested the bolt progressively with my torque wrench until I measured 30 ft/lb to break it loose. Upon closer inspection, I realized that I'd pulled the wrong bolt- so I put it back, and proceeded to tighten to 30 ft/lb. The problem is that although I saw the locktight on the threads I just wasn't thinking (the lock tight rendered my torque measurement meaningless). You can probably guess the rest- Bang! And now half the bolt is in the tranny, and the other half is in my hand.
I can't imagine how this can be fixed other than removing the transmission and opening up the case. The bolt was near the top of the transmission body, meaning that access is limited.
Just shoot me.
