From TireRack:

"On the M vs MH:

We haven't done test on these tires so we don't have any direct feedback
or first-hand experience with the new compounds.

According to sources at Yokohama, the M compound is good for autocross
or very short time-attack sprints, where tire temps will not build too
high. This is not a track compound. The M compound should have higher
grip levels than Lotus OE spec.

The LTS A-048 compound (original equipment on the Sport Package) is a
unique compound that has been spec'd and tuned by Lotus, and is very
similar to the MH compound.

Also, the construction of the LTS tire is different than all other A-048
versions. The Lotus spec has a nylon carcass, while all others have a
Polyester carcass.

M compound pricing is:

195/50-16 $185 225/45-17 $232.

All 3 tires are molded 6/32nd tread depth. We can shave to 4/32nd's.
Shaving cost is $15 per tire.

We're trying to get tire weights from Yokohama and will forward these to
you as we can get them. Assuming the A048 LTS and A048MH weigh the same
and you're looking at mainly track use I'd recommend going with the A048
LTS since it has been tuned for the car. If you're using for Autocross
the A048M is a better choice.

Thank you. "
