To add to and clarify some things in Randy's thread:

If the image is on your computer you may need to re-size it to make the size of it more user-friendly (i.e. not twice as wide as the browser window) and/or make its file size smaller than the EliseTalk limit of 500K.

Randy's comment about the 72 DPI doesn't apply to images displayed on a computer screen...it only affects the size of a printed image. What determines the relative size of an image to be displayed on a computer is the dimensions in pixels. If your camera is is a 5 megapixel one and you have set it to record the maximum resolution, it will likely have a dimension in the area of 2560x1920 pixels. Displayed on a computer screen that would cover roughly four times the common screen size. A better common size for forum posting would be approximately 800x600 pixels. The largest, if necessary, should be in the area of 1024x768.

To re-size an image there are a large variety of software packages available from free to very expensive. If you're into managing images, but not into extensive image editing, one that I prefer is IrfanView. It is free, simple to use and available at www.irfanview.com.

For the very simple task of just resizing images, there is a free utility available from Microsoft called the Image Resizer PowerToy. It is available for download as part of the "Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP" at:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx.

After you install it, in Windows Explorer you can right-click on an image file name and choose to re-size the image to small (640x480), medium (800x600), or large (1024x768). That is about as simple as it gets.
