Thanks for the advice.
So for my white car i need to find dark areas with a single strong light source.
Preferably wet black tarmac, dark walls near to the car with the light source casting good shadows to pick out the shape and giving good highlights
3 or 4 mm of clear laquer would also help to make it shine like an ipod
