My 1st car had a, umm, enthusiastic breakin too. No standing starts, but lots of time at the top of the cams, and that engine/powertrain is flawless at 22K. Those top RPM were all at or close to 8800! As mine was the 2nd car in the country to get the 1000 mile dump (behind Chris in Atlanta, who babied his car like a freakin newborn), I was sweating bullets on that one. But no worries!
