The route along the coast will be quite a different drive than a drive through the hills. There will be a much higher concentration of traffic and more waiting at traffic signals. There are very few places along the coast where you can attain speeds over 45 MPH. The hill south of Torrey Pines State Beach is about the last stretch of road along the coast where you can get over 65 MPH. Let me know what you think, it may be a good week for me to pull the wheels and diffuser off and retorque all the suspension and rack fasteners.
