CRAP!
I壇 let them know that you値l be happy to give them the keys to the car they just totaled as soon as you take delivery of your new Elise. I知 sure it could be fixed and might appear to be fine even a few years down the road. But nothing on that car will ever line up properly again. It looks like the whole exterior of the car was tweaked rotationally at least a millimeter or so. What痴 that going to do for the points the body was mounted to?
So, despite having instructions to use the points under the diffuser, it looks like they had the car on the lift with the 4 visible mounts and it appeared fine to them. Then they took the front tire off and the car slid off due to weight shift. They did this entirely wrong (of course) but they may have been ok if they would have just taken the rear tires off first.
The first time I took my Elise to a 3 rd party shop I did the work with them. The next time I took the diffuser off before I brought the car in.
I知 considering taking just the wheels and new rubber in next time I go just so I can avoid any possibility of this type of horrible car tragedy.
I'd be a lot more pissed than you seem to be ...
