Hey everyone, let's ignore the trolls.

No need to respond to them - that's what they are looking for. If they step too far out of line, they will be banned and their posts deleted (already done on many of them). But all you regular ETalkers, don't respond and encourage the trolls.


We don't want to have to close this thread, as there is some reasonable discussion going on here.

As for the people jumping on the bad wagon yelling to "sue 'em", wait a while. It just happened, and it will take a few days for things to get straightened out. I don't believe that it's been posted that the Goodyear shop is trying to get out of their responsibilities. I suspect that they will make it good in the end - the bad publicity of them not doing the right thing will cost them more in the long run.

But it will take a few days for the corporate big wigs, the lawyers, and the insurance guys to figure out what they are going to do. If any claims are denied, then it's time to start screaming. But doing so prior to any decisions is premature.
